JOB TITLE: Head of Operation Manager (OPM)

JOB DETAILS:
- Source for business for the company.
- Performing market research and Identifying potential customers.
- Developing and performing effective and professional presentation and sales of the company security products to targeted potential customers
- Recruit, orient, and train security personnel on appropriate security rules and procedures
- Develop and enforce security protocols, policies, and procedures necessary for safeguarding lives and property
- Prepare and control the budget for security operations to ensure delivery of high quality security services
- Assign guard duties to security personnel to ensure effective distribution of workload
- Keep track of incidents in order to evaluate them and recommend a course of action
- Schedule shift patrol at all times
- Develop and manage the processes for securing classified and sensitive information
- Order the supply of security tools and equipment required in carrying out security operations
- Prepare and present reports of incidents and ways to limit reoccurrence
- Liaise with public law enforcement agencies and fire department
- Oversee the planning and coordination of security operations during high-risk events.
- Representing the company at trade exhibitions, events and demonstrations to increase both the company and its product’s awareness.
- Negotiating price, costs and necessary specification with clients and colleagues.
- Maintaining relationships with clients by providing support, information, and guidance; researching and recommending new opportunities, profit and service improvements.
- Coordinating Operations department.
- Fully involved in the daily operational activities relating to all locations.
- Review and implement security measures to protect client’s asset.
- Carry out risks/threat assessment on protected premises and determines proactive measures against such threat.
- Prepare standard operations procedure for all beats.
- Prepare weekly activity report for the Management meetings.
- Maintain and ensure strict discipline throughout the guard force.
- Manage crises that may arise within the locations.
- Ensure constant visitation of clients towards improving business relationship and turning such visits to friendship.
- Ensure clients request on posting/removal of operatives are promptly attended to.
- Ensure that client security needs are met.
- Ensure the standard of our service delivery is constantly reviewed in order to meet both national and international standard.
Requirements – Skills, Abilities, and Knowledge
Here are important requirements you need to meet for most employers to consider you for the job of security operations manager if you are interested in it:
- OND, HND or B.Sc Degree in any Management course or relevant studies
- Must possess 5 to 8 years’ experience in security operations
- Security professional certification would be an added advantage
- Must have no criminal record
- Critical thinking skills
- Must possess good communication skills and ability to manage people effectively
- Must be proficient in the use of Microsoft office suites, Ms word,Ms excel
- Must a thorough understanding of security operations
- Must be disciplined and have a keen eyes for details.
- Must have a good knowledge of road network
- Must be client oriented.
