Job Title: Business Development Officer
Locations: Abuja and Lagos
Employment Type: Contract
Job Description
- We are looking for a Business Development Officer who will play a key role in driving the growth and success of the Academy.
- He/She will be responsible for identifying and pursuing new business opportunities, developing and maintaining relationships with key clients and implementing strategies to help achieve the company’s sales and revenue goals.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Identify and research potential clients.
- Develop and maintain client relationships.
- Coordinate with sales teams to develop mutually beneficial proposals.
- Negotiate contract terms with clients and communicate with stakeholders.
- Monitor project teams to ensure contracts are executed as agreed.
- Gather useful information from customer and competitor data.
- Make and give presentations to prospective clients and internal executives.
- Create and implement processes and policies to support the overall business.
- Track, identify and add qualified prospects to sales pipeline.
- Develop and manage strategic partnerships to grow business.
- Track and report on the status of proposal components.
- Conduct ongoing market research.
- Prepare and submit sales contracts.
- Identify and pursue new business opportunities for the company.
- Develop and maintain relationships with key clients and partners.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and implement business development strategies.
- Prepare and deliver sales presentations and proposals to prospective clients.
- Achieve or exceed sales and revenue targets.
- Monitor industry trends and market conditions.
Requirements / Skills
- A Bachelor’s Degree with experience as a Business development officer or equivalent experience in a similar role is strongly desired.
- Minimum of 3 years of relevant experience in business development, sales, or a related field.
- Strong communication and presentation skills
- Proven track record of achieving or exceeding sales targets
- Good time management and organizational skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office suite and familiarity with CRM software.
- In-depth knowledge and experience in program management.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to manage multiple projects.
- Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to interact at all levels in the organization.
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills.
- Creative thinker able to set strategy to action and show results.
