Job Title: Vertinary Sales Representative
Location: Ilorin, Kwara
Employment Type: Full-time
Responsibilities
- Identify new customer prospects by following up on leads.
- Contact new and current customers to discuss their needs and recommend products to meet those needs.
- Explain the features of various pharmaceutical products to customers.
- Answer questions regarding pricing, availability, and delivery time.
- Prepare sales contracts.
- Collaborate with work colleagues to discuss selling techniques or issues.
- Follow up with customers after the sale to ensure they’re satisfied and answer questions or concerns.
- Develop a valuable, niche expertise regarding pharmaceuticals for animals, and this can help them move up the ladder to become sales managers or sales directors.
- They can also transfer their skill set to other sales careers including those in the animal health industry, such as veterinary device sales rep, as well as positions outside of the animal health industry.
Requirements
- B.Agric / B.Sc. in Animal Science/ Animal Production
- 2 – 3 years sales experience in a reputable veterinary organization
- Must be a veterinary doctor having veterinary drugs sales experience
- Veterinary product knowledge or feeds additives
- Experience in driving is an added advantage (able to drive pick up or car with manual gear).
- Proximity to the job location is key.
