Job Title: Registrar
Location: Abeokuta, Ogun.
Roles
- The University Registrar is a Principal Officer and Chief Administrative Officer of the University and shall be responsible to the Vice-Chancellor for the day-to-day administrative work and control of the administrative affairs of the University.
- The Registrar is by virtue of his office, also Secretary to Council, Senate, Congregation and Convocation.
Qualifications and Experience
- The candidate should possess a good Honours Degree (Minimum of Second Class, Lower Division) in a relevant discipline, obtained from a recognized University. Possession of a Higher Degree in a relevant field will be an advantage.
- Candidates must have had not less than fifteen (15) years post-graduation experience, five (5) of which must have been spent as a Deputy Registrar in the University System by the end of September 2023.
- The right candidate should also have the ability to develop linkages with the external communities to support the needs of the University, command respect and engender the co-operation and loyalty of staff and students of the Institution.
- Candidate must be computer literate and have a working knowledge of computer packages useful for University administration.
- Candidate must not be above Sixity (60) years on assumption of duty.
Terms and Condition of Service
- The University Registrar shall hold office for a single term of Five (5) years only on such terms and conditions as may be specified in the letter of appointment.
Remuneration
- Remuneration and other conditions of services are as applicable to the post of Registrar in all Nigerian Federal Universities and as may be determined by the Governing Council of the University, as appropriate.
- Fringe benefits include a Pension in consonance with the Contributory Pension Scheme and appropriate allowances as may be approved from time to time by the Governing Council.
