Job Title: Kitchen Assistant
Location: Ojodu – Ikeja, Lagos

Job Description
Food Preparation:
- Assist in basic food preparation tasks, such as chopping vegetables, portioning ingredients, and assembling dishes.
- Follow recipes and guidelines provided by the chef or kitchen supervisor to ensure consistent quality.
Dish washing and Cleaning:
- Wash and sanitize dishes, utensils, pots, and pans.
- Clean kitchen equipment, countertops, and work areas to maintain high standards of cleanliness and hygiene.
- Sweep and mop floors regularly to keep the kitchen area tidy.
Stock Management:
- Receive and unpack deliveries of food supplies, ensuring accuracy and quality.
- Properly store food items in designated areas, adhering to food safety standards.
- Monitor inventory levels and inform the supervisor when supplies need to be replenished.
Kitchen Organization:
- Maintain the organization and cleanliness of storage areas, refrigerators, and freezers.
- Label and date food items appropriately to prevent spoilage and ensure freshness.
- Assist in maintaining inventory records, including tracking stock usage and expiration dates.
Waste Management:
- Properly dispose of kitchen waste, including food scraps and packaging materials, following waste management guidelines.
- Separate recyclable materials and assist in recycling efforts.
Safety and Hygiene:
- Adhere to all health and safety regulations, including proper food handling and storage procedures.
- Follow established sanitation practices and guidelines to maintain a clean and safe working environment.
- Report any safety hazards or incidents to the kitchen supervisor immediately.
Support Kitchen Staff:
- Assist chefs and cooks during meal preparation, as directed.
- Collaborate with the kitchen team to ensure smooth workflow and timely service.
