Job Title: Group General Manager (Project Implementation)
Location: Anambra
Employment Type: Full-time
Job Summary
- The Group General Manager, Project will be responsible for project implementation across MP Infrastructure Group.
- He will manage the design, construction, logistics procurement and budgets to ensure efficiency of time, quality and cost of group projects.
- He will be required to plan and coordinate all aspects of the group project
Responsibilities
- Responsible for project planning, execution, and coordination of day-to-day work activities
- Take charge and manage technical issues regarding all company projects
- Define and implement strategies that will enhance productivity and project efficiency to ensure deliverable are completed within cost baseline
- Ensure all required project statutory and regulatory conditions are met
- Oversee and maintain liaison between all parties concerned with projects, to facilitate any changes or modifications and to facilitate resolution of projects bottlenecks
- Ensure completion of deliverables and adherence to timelines; track milestones and timelines across projects and institute necessary work flow, personnel and financial resource allocations, making alterations when necessary to meet expectation of clients
- Ensure proactive management of foreseeable project risk, analyzing and resolving issues that have the potential to jeopardize performance and or to meet agreed upon deliverables; mitigating risk as necessary.
- Supervise the construction and project managers to monitor construction progress, including workers productivity and compliance with construction and safety codes
- Ensure timely valuation of contractor’s work for payment purposes according to approved payment plan.
- Organize meetings with clients, stakeholders and project managers to provide report on projects progress levels
- Ensure Quality control and specification monitoring
- Coordinate overall human and material resources on site
- Identify stakeholders on projects and ensures they are satisfied
- Manage healthy business relationship with contractors and sub-contractors both within and outside host communities
- Dealing with contract disputes and mitigating the impact of any issues
- Work with executive management and other stakeholders to ensure completion of projects within schedule, budget and of excellent quality
Job Requirements
- B.E- Civil Engineering or other relevant Engineering discipline. Certification in Project Management is required
- Minimum of 20 years cumulative experience, of which 10years must have been in a Senior Management role ( Preferably in Nigeria )
- Engineering project management experience
- Must have experience of working in dynamic and fast moving environment
- Financial / commercial management exposure
- Must possess strategic perspective and strong analytical skills.
- Client relation management
- Problem solving skills and the ability to assess and resolve technical issues in a timely manner
- Review and amend operational procedures
- Knowledge of codes and standards as well as safety and regulatory requirements applicable to the business needs.
- Collaborative approach
- Teamwork skills.
- Reliability, sound judgement and discretion.
Salary
N1,500,000 – N2,000,000 / Month.
