JOB TITLE: Commercial Coordinator
JOB LOCATION: Lagos, Nigeria
JOB DETAILS:
- Identify, pursue, and capture new opportunities; for development of greenfield projects and legacy positions, including mergers and acquisitions, and third-party business with existing assets.
- Maintain relationships both internally and externally with key stakeholders, co-venturers and with key third parties critical to the commercial aspect of value realization for base business and projects under development.
Key Responsibilities
- Responsible for commercial support for the Upstream JV/EGTL Assets and Deepwater Assets across the oil and gas value chain.
- Provides commercial support and internal communication/interfaces among existing assets and projects under development.
- Support and occasionally lead negotiation of commercial agreements.
- Develop and propose commercial strategies for the marketing of oil, gas and products.
- Resolves commercial issues resulting from gaps in existing commercial agreements i.e. marketing and offtake agreements, associated tax issues and close these gaps through negotiations with partners.
- Lead the negotiation and drafting of new Crude Handling and Offtake Agreements (CHAs) and provide support for the monitoring and administration of existing CHAs.
- Administration and negotiation of the extension of contractual agreements.
- Negotiate and/or support negotiation of new/re-negotiation of existing NMA JV bilateral, tripartite and interruptible gas contracts.
- Provide commercial support to JV and Deepwater gas commercialization strategies and supply projects.
- Work with other departments to manage the implementation of commercial strategy for value creation opportunities.
- Provides detailed commercial analysis to support key decisions on the fiscal and contractual terms/conditions that govern deepwater assets including the development of Heads of Terms (HoT), Head of Agreements (HOA) and Fully Termed Agreements (FTAs), required to develop and operate Chevron’s deepwater oil and gas assets.
What You Will Bring
Qualifications:
- Undergraduate Degree in Business and numerical or quantitative disciplines such as Accounting, Finance, Economics, Engineering, Science, etc.
- Postgraduate degree in Science, Finance or other related disciplines or MBA will be an added advantage.
Experience:
- Minimum of 7 – 12 years’ experience in commercial business evaluation, negotiations, contracts administration, relationship management, business development and strategic planning.
- Supervisory experience, as well as excellent verbal and written communication.
- Experience in the implementation of commercial strategies and business development in the Oil & Gas sector will be an added advantage.
Leadership:
- Demonstrates leadership/influencing skills and ability to lead and work effectively with cross-functional teams and shape team performance.
- Demonstrates ability to manage multiple high priority tasks concurrently and resources effectively to achieve objectives.
- Demonstrates strong communication and interpersonal skills. Show ability to facilitate work teams in a complex work environment and experience in serving a broad group of stakeholders.
Additional Considerations:
- A good knowledge of the industry with demonstrated work experience in the Oil & Gas business, and relevant extant regulations and the PIA.
- Demonstrated ability to assess opportunities, to identify value drivers, to align stakeholders and to enable value creation.
