JOB TITLE: Head, Business Development and Sales
JOB LOCATION: Lekki Phase I, Lagos
JOB DETAILS:
- We are seeking a senior level Telecoms and healthcare executive who can provide credibility and open doors in the industry market and with investors.
- The ideal candidate will have a keen desire to work in a flexible start-up environment and make a major impact on healthcare industry.
- This position will work closely with the Founder as a senior member of the team.
Job Description / Responsibilities
- Build high quality business strategies and plans ensuring their alignment with short-term and long-term objectives.
- Explore financial and non-financial reports and develop solutions or Improvements based on the analysis results.
- Raise Capital, and lead the company’s effort to raise a new seed round from Angels and Early Stage VC’s
- Represent company at investor events, exhibitions and conferences
- Research and submit applications to reputable incubator / accelerator program(s) that may fit our strategy.
- Lead process for grant and partnership applications
- Drive adoption of Lafiya products across the country
- Manage competition and threats in the marketplace, with constant evaluation of financial structure, capital strategy & strategic priorities, partnership and creating market value and sales strategy.
- Oversee and manage the social media handles of Lafiya
- Disrupt, innovate and continue to develop the business model ahead of the market.
- Drive and develop Lafiya Telehealth for efficient strategies, adoption and marketing
- Researches and leads marketing effort for all Lafiya products
- Represents to internal and external stakeholders, seeks outside partnerships and develops strategies to engage in collaborative telehealth agreements.
- Lead the vendor negotiation and contracting where outside capabilities are necessary to achieve the strategy.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Medicine, Health Sciences, Pharmacy or related courses
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in business development and 3 years as a management staff
- Degree in Business administration, marketing or training/certificate in enterprise development
- Proven ability to have developed a product in the past
- Ability to scan the business environment.

- Proven organizational, analytical, and business development skills.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Professional presentation skills.
- Excellent judgment.
- Ability to effectively relate to a wide range of professionals.
- Ability to master new information on a regular basis.
- Must be loyal and dependable with a high level of integrity.
- Excellent working knowledge of Excel, Microsoft Word, and PowerPoint and a capacity to learn new program
- Strong business acumen.
