Job Title: Account Officer
Location: Abuja (FCT)
Job Description:
- Review the company’s accounts on a monthly basis and advise on Profit and Loss;
- Prepare, upon the Company’s demand, invoices for its Clients to capture the appropriate Value Added Tax (“VAT”) and Withholding Tax (“WHT”);
- Auditing financial information;
- Compiling and presenting reports, budgets, business plans, commentaries and financial statements;
- Analysing accounts and business plans;Developing external relationships with appropriate contacts, e.g. auditors, bankers, statutory officers;
- Weekly/Monthly bank Reconciliation;
- Payables Management;
- Providing tax planning services with reference to current legislation;
- Financial forecasting, budgeting and risk analysis to aid management decisions;
- Dealing with insolvency cases.
Requirements
- Candidates should possess a Bachelor’s Degree with 3 – 5 years work experience.
- Evidence of professional certification (s) or in the process of acquiring one.
- Logical approach to identifying and evaluating issues and problem solving.
- Well-developed organizational skills with the ability to prioritize multiple assignments.
- Displays awareness of the need for confidentially in sensitive matters.
- Demonstrated job commitment and personal flexibility to meet changing expectations.
- Commitment to self-development and expansion of knowledge
- Demonstrate Working Knowledge and Expertise.
- Excellent interpersonal skills.
- Good Analytical skills.
- Ability to maintain flexible attitude and approach towards assignments and successfully operate under guidelines.
- Must possess working knowledge of regulatory bodies’ taxes and general business financial conditions.
- Exercise good judgment in safeguarding confidential or sensitive information and adhere to high standards of confidentiality and honesty.
- Has a strong knowledge of Inventory Accounting and Accounting Softwares(Sage , Quickbooks).
- Excellent commands over excel and word.
