Job Summary
- The Assistant Company Secretary will be required to support the Company Secretary with the functions in the Secretariat portfolio.
- This includes high level advisory responsibilities in business, finance, legal and regulatory matters.
Job Description
- Provide strategic and analytical advisory support and services, end-to-end, to the secretariat, boards and executives of the Company and its subsidiaries on: Governance Structures, Regulations and Laws.
- Ensure compliance with laws, regulations, and decisions of governance bodies and officers. To this end monitor changes in relevant legislation and the regulatory environment and proffer action accordingly.
- Organize and administer meetings of boards, committees, members, management, and other stakeholders and render the necessary secretarial services and support in respect thereof.
- Oversee the Implementation of the processes and systems which ensure that the company complies with all applicable codes of corporate governance, as well as relevant regulatory and statutory requirements.
- Performing such other tasks as may be delegated by the company secretary or the boards of directors.
Requirements
- LL.B Degree with a recognised and reputable University.
- BL from the Nigerian Law School and ACIS. ACIArb
- An MBA is an added advantage.
- Minimum of twelve (12) years’ multi-industry work experience, with leadership responsibility, in listed companies and a minimum of four (4) years’ occupying a similar position.
- Excellent drafting and research capabilities.
- Ability to interact at various levels, and to develop strong client relationships.
Remuneration
N18,000,000 Annually.
