Job Title: Associate, Financial Planning & Analysis
Location: Lagos

Key Responsibilities
- Determine which of the company’s products or product lines generate the largest portion of its net profit.
- Identify which products have the highest profit margin (and which have the lowest).
- Assist in preparing of internal reports for executive leadership and supporting their decision-making.
- Create, update, and maintain financial models and detailed forecasts of the company’s future operations.
- Compare historical results against budgets and forecasts and perform variance analysis to explain differences in performance and make improvements going forward.
- Assist in high-level decision-making in areas such as policy and strategy.
- Work closely with the accounting team to ensure accurate financial records on a day-to-day basis.
- Assist in the preparation of monthly rolling estimates to ensure that performance is in line with the target for the year.
- Analyse past results, perform variance analysis, identify trends, and make recommendations for improvements.
- Assist in the preparation and management of cost center reports to track the actual cost against budget.
- Create and update dashboard/business intelligence reporting.
- Create presentations that provide insightful analysis, identify required action items, and effectively frame decisions to be made.
- Ensures ad hoc analysis and related management and financial reports are completed in an accurate and timely manner.
- Provide support to business partners like commercial and operation teams ensuring.
- Carry out other responsibilities assigned by the Financial Planning & Analysis Manager.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, etc.
- Understanding of Nigeria’s banking operations, treasury and loan processing.
- 4-6 years experience in accounting and business finance. 2 years out of the 6 years should be in Financial Planning and Analysis.
- Experience in the use of Microsoft suites such as Excel, PowerPoint etc.
- Professional qualifications, ACCA/ACA or in the final stage of the qualifications.
- Other certifications such as FMVA, AFA etc. will be added advantage.
Experience in the use of Odoo will be an added advantage. Essential Skills include:

Travel:
- Role may require occasional travel to Northern Nigeria.
