JOB DETAILS:
- The role of the capability and sales force effectiveness manager is to develop and implement the capability and sales force effectiveness strategy in the Pharma Operations department, thereby ensuring that the Organisation fulfills its vision and goals.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Establish the short, medium- and long-term training and development needs across the Sales (Head Office and Field) and Marketing functions through engaging with leaders, managers, team members and outputs from individual YDRs.
- Prioritize the training needs according to what will deliver the greatest benefit. • Identify the most effective and cost-efficient solutions/techniques for delivering against the development needs.
- Select and manage 3rd party training providers, ensuring quality of delivery and ROI.
- Provide tools and approaches to help managers and team members embed new skills.
- Work with industry practitioners to understand best practice as a feed into medium to long term development of the capability strategy.
- Build networks with other Pharma Commercial Capability Trainers to leverage the best practice.
- Own the on-boarding process for new recruits and ‘new to role’.
- Administer development workshops, classes, and modules.
- Drive and monitor performance evaluation and coaching between NSM/ASMs, ASMs/PRs and ASMs/SRs.
- Identify the potentials of high performers and build on their strengths.
- Pool best practice and train the team on how to improve KPI performance.
- Establish and evaluate metrics for assessing training effectiveness.
- Analyze and evaluate training needs/gaps on an on-going basis to keep trainings current, effective and result driven.
- Lead Talent and Succession Planning in conjunction with the HR Business Partner
- Work with HR to ensure that the Organisation’s recruitment strategy is consistent with medium to long term capability development in the sales and marketing functions.
- Work closely with HR L&D to ensure an aligned approach on complementary people development initiatives (such as coaching, leadership etc.). In addition, ensure HR L&D understands the methodology for technical training (selling, negotiation).
- Create and lead performance management framework in the sales force organization.
- Lead and facilitate development of customer segmentation and targeting approach.
- Drive, challenge and facilitate resource allocation decisions in the sales force.
- Support roll -out of cross-functional sales force related initiatives to improve productivity.
Educational Qualifications
- University graduate (B.Pharm).
- At least 5 years of working within the Pharma industry
- Excellent Communication skills and perfect command of the English language
- Experience in sales and/or marketing in a Pharma
- Experience in training and development ideal
- Project and budget management
- Ability to identify and evaluate 3rd party providers
- Strong collaborator, relationship builder, stakeholder manager
- Articulate and confident with large audiences
- Organised, self-starter, strong team player
