Job Brief
- Reporting to the Executive Director, you will lead the organisations’s communications effort and develop and implement internal and external communication strategies to ensure that unified, consistent, and positive messages define, promote, and help achieve the corporate identity, mission and business objectives in a tangible, quantifiable manner.
Duties and Responsibilities

- Develop and implement a cohesive integrated marketing communications strategy that ensures effective brand management on and offline
- Review all communications tasks and develop and share weekly communications reports to Management across all communications pillars.
- Utilise communications to drive tangible, measurable results in product and service uptake.
- Curate and manage relevant and approved communities of stakeholders
- Lead on special events as assigned
- Be primarily responsible for the development and delivery of staff induction presentations
- Develop and execute strategies for messaging, press releases, contributed articles, events, and media engagement
- Conceptualise and execute quarterly communications campaigns across platforms
- Develop and implement policies and procedures for communicating on behalf of the organisation that represents the corporate identity of the organisation and promotes and supports the mission.
- Plan, manage and develop the content and design of proposals for the organisation and other special communication documents that support the organisation’s work, for example, impact reports and marketing documents
- Manage all social media channels effectively to ensure high performance on agreed monitoring metrics including social media strategy, content planning, development and design, and monitoring and evaluation of results. Share weekly progress reports on same with Management
- Seek new methods and creative strategies to increase internal and external awareness about dyslexia
- Develop and implement effective communication strategies that build customer engagement, trial, and loyalty
- Lead on brand experience efforts to increase customer satisfaction
- Effectively use communication to support and enhance the organisation’s programs, projects, and initiatives
- Train communications staff, including those that support communications and participate in the interview and hire of additional communications staff where necessary.
- Conduct performance evaluations of communications related tasks completed by full or support staff in a timely and constructive manner.
- Working with the Executive Director, oversee the collection of relevant data necessary to effectively communicate the organisation’s work to various audiences. Communicate same to various audiences in relevant formats
- Support the Executive Director to position the organisation to secure funding and to complete grant applications, ensuring our corporate narrative is impactful and consistent
- Lead on media engagement, securing timely, relevant, periodic, media spots across channels that reach the target audience
Requirements
- Candidates should possess a University Degree
- Minimum of 3 years’ relevant working experience
- Proficiency in MS Office
- Excellent communication and negotiationskills
- Good time management and planning skills
