Opportunity
- We are looking for a candidate to take up the role of a Direct Transport Sales The Sales Representative plays a crucial role in driving revenue growth by actively seeking out and engaging prospective customers especially those in the concerned vertical.
- This position involves building strong relationships with clients, understanding their needs, presenting product offerings, negotiating contracts, and closing sales.
- The Sales Representative will work closely with the sales team, collaborate with cross-functional departments, and maintain a deep understanding of the market to achieve sales targets and contribute to the overall success of the organization.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintaining Customer Relationships in Nigeria, Lagos.
- Manage and develop the relationships within the customer portfolio.
- Work closely with local product organization to grow and deliver revenue growth For customers with specific area importance, develop account business plans that encompass ocean as well as Logistic & Services products.
- Maintain an overview of the customers business within the geography.
- Identify and win opportunities relevant to O&L products direction setting.
- Sell standalone products depending on customer need
- Define and deliver changes to business targets based on market/asset view.
- Work with the Capacity / Campaign Manager function to formalize the commercial plans and ensure maximization of assets.
- Actively monitor local NPS across segments and drive local initiatives to improve customer satisfaction for all local Accounts.
- Manage stakeholders across the area, region and global functions.
- Actively provide feedback to the sales channel lead based on customer feedback and insights.
Who we are looking for
- Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).
- At least 3 years’ track record of success in sales, preferably in the Logistics & Services industry.
- Strong understanding of Ocean transport, and market dynamics, as well as value added services.
- Excellent knowledge of Trucking.
- Proficiency in English is a MUST.
- Strong communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
- Excellent negotiation and closing abilities.
- Self-motivated with a strong drive for results and a passion for exceeding targets.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Excellent time management and organizational skills.
- Proficiency in using CRM systems and sales productivity tools.
- Willingness to travel and meet with clients as needed.
