Job Title: Head of Sales
Location: Port Harcourt, Rivers
Job Description
- We are seeking a dynamic and results-driven Head of Sales to lead our team in the fast-moving consumer goods (FMCG) wholesale industry.
- The ideal candidate will have 4 – 5 years of experience in sales management, with a strong background in wholesale distribution and a proven track record of driving sales growth and building high-performing teams.
Responsibilities
- Develop and execute strategic sales plans to achieve revenue targets and expand market share in the FMCG wholesale industry.
- Lead and mentor a team of sales managers and representatives to drive sales performance and exceed KPIs.
- Establish sales objectives, goals, and targets in alignment with company objectives and market trends.
- Identify new business opportunities and cultivate relationships with key clients, including retailers, distributors, and other partners.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including marketing, operations, and finance, to optimize sales strategies and achieve business objectives.
- Analyze sales data and market trends to identify opportunities for growth, optimization, and operational efficiency.
- Monitor competitor activities and market dynamics to anticipate challenges and capitalize on emerging trends.
- Conduct regular performance reviews, provide feedback, and implement training and development programs to enhance the skills and capabilities of the sales team.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.
- Prepare and present sales forecasts, budgets, and reports to senior management.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or related field. MBA preferred.
- 4 – 5 years of experience in sales management, preferably in the FMCG wholesale industry.
- Proven track record of achieving and exceeding sales targets and driving revenue growth.
- Strong leadership and team management skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate a diverse team.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
- Strategic thinker with the ability to develop and execute sales plans in a dynamic and competitive market.
- Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret sales data, market trends, and customer insights.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite and CRM software.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced and dynamic work environment.
- Willingness to travel as needed.
