JOB TITLE: Head of Strategy
JOB LOCATION: Lagos
Responsibilities
The responsibilities of the Head of Strategy and Business Process include:
- Conduct annual strategy sessions and assist SBUs to cascade the Bank’s strategy to its team.
- Articulate transformational strategies, identify, design, and implement creative business solutions
- Identify changes and recommend solutions that will typically involve a combination of customer, process improvement, digital transformation, and operational excellence outcomes
- Manage the day-to-day effort and work of the delivery team i.e. project coordination, campaign coordination, initiative drives
- Lead workshops and present insights and recommendations enabled by strategic thinking, technical knowledge, and strong and clear communication skills
- Take responsibility for delivering high-quality deliverables and outcomes.
- Contribute to the development of methodologies, tools, policies, frameworks and thought leadership papers
- Undertake and lead business development activities including the creation of compelling and differentiated value propositions in opportunity pursuits
- Support a high-performance culture through coaching and mentoring colleagues as they grow their capabilities, careers and client service impact
- Periodic review of Enterprise Strategic Plan with Executive Management; Corporate Strategy Execution and reporting the milestone to management and board.
- Act as gatekeeper to business proposals and provide advisory to executive management on suitability.
- Assess the Bank’s operational and strategic performance against competition and proffer go-to-market strategies and business turn around strategies
- Research competition to identify threats and opportunities; Monitor and analyse industry trends and market changes.
- Align processes, resources, and department goals with overall strategy. Document and Review standard operating procedures.

- A minimum of a Second-Class Upper degree
- A Master’s Degree or recognized Professional qualification is an added advantage
- A minimum of 8 years of relevant work experience in financial services
- Experience in at least one of the following strategy consulting areas: strategic growth, operational and performance improvement, digital strategy, or other relevant strategy experience
- Good understanding of digital and emerging technologies Demonstrable experience leading project teams is a critical requirement
- Strong people management and development skills Ability to plan, structure and prepare client-ready deliverables
- Demonstrated ability to apply structured thinking and analysis techniques to complex and ambiguous problems
- Excellent facilitation and presentation skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Very good proficiency in MS Office suite is essential
- Good knowledge of the banking environment
- Ability to interpret grey areas and propose alternative solutions.
Remuneration
N400,000 – N500,000 Monthly.
