JOB TITLE: HR L&D Officer
JOB LOCATION: Lagos
Responsibilities
- Recommends, designs, develops, and implements innovative learning and development programs that support the full employment lifecycle, including onboarding, career development, wellness, succession planning, and management and leadership development.
- Program development and delivery facilitated both online and in person.
- Assesses needs, analyses gaps, researches best practices, and partners with Human Resources colleagues to identify, develop and implement successful and innovative learning and development programs.
- Develops and implements program processes and procedures, maintains records and tracks outcomes.
- Utilizes adult learning theory to provide customized learning opportunities.
- Continually monitors and evaluates effectiveness of training programs and make needed adjustments.
- Coordinates learning and development program activities including forming committees, scheduling, event logistics and vendor relations.
- Identifies, develops and offers training in the use of online resources and technologies to support organizational development.
- Maintains technical expertise and knowledge of best practices in online educational trends, changes and developments, and service strategies.
- Carry out gaps analysis periodically to ensure employees do not lack skill(s) required for successful performance
- Design and deliver e-learning courses, workshops and other trainings
- Assess the success of development plans and help employees make the most of learning opportunities
- Help managers develop their team members through career pathing
- Track budgets and negotiate contracts with training vendors.
- Carry reimbursement documentations/filing with Industrial Training Funds (ITF)
- Performs other related duties as assigned to support overall organization and employee development initiatives.
Requirements
- Degree in Education or Social Sciences
- 2-3 years’ experience in similar role recommended.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Ability to perform in fast-paced environments.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
