Job Title: Inventory / Supply Chain Officer

Description
- Oversee the delivery of supplies, materials, and equipment, ensuring they match the purchase order specifications in terms of quantity, condition, model/part number, etc. Complete all necessary paperwork for received stock items.
- Oversee the dispatching of parts and machinery, ensuring they match the customer’s purchase order specifications in terms of quantity, condition, model/part number, etc. Complete all necessary paperwork for delivered stock items.
- Ensure stock accuracy through regular stock check activities, including cycle counts and physical inventory (PI) checks. Conduct monthly and annual stocktaking.
- Conduct daily reviews of inventory, identifying items that need to be ordered. Analyze fast-moving and slow-moving stock.
- Manage the booking-in process, create labels, and maintain stock locations. Ensure compliance during the booking-in and booking-out procedures.
- Provide stock analysis and efficiency ideas to improve stock holding. Develop and implement procedures for maintaining adequate inventory levels.
- Collaborate with other teams, including Sales, Engineering Support, Shipping, and Purchasing, to close sales and provide customer service. Assist customers on the sales floor/showroom when necessary.
- Utilize computerized inventory software to record, track, and maintain all inventory-related data.
- Regularly audit the facility’s entire inventory, including fixed assets, and provide reports to management. Prepare weekly/monthly/quarterly stock inventory reports and adjust inventory records for new deliveries.
- File claims with manufacturers or sellers when defective goods are found in the inventory.
- Analyze sales records and compare them to physical stock inventory. Respond to inquiries regarding products and inventories.
- Manage Vendor Managed Inventory (VMI) and Consignment Stock contracts with company customers. Prepare regular VMI/Consignment stock reports/analysis for management. Act as the company’s Service Level Agreement (SLA) coordinator for VMI/Consignment stock contracts.
- Process purchase orders in a timely manner and follow up on pending orders.
- Maintain good housekeeping, cleanliness, and organization of stockrooms/warehouses.
- Develop the logistics and inventory team through training and performance management. Train subordinates on cycle counting and inventory control.
- Manage third-party suppliers (local).
- Follow up on all shipments to ensure they meet the agreed-upon service standards with the client.
- Ensure all project works in the company are carried out safely and in an environmentally-friendly manner.
- Ensure that processes in the Inventory and Logistics department are not hazardous to the health and safety of all staff.
- Ensure that subordinates in the Inventory and Logistics department are aware of the company’s Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) policies and ensure compliance at all times.
Requirements
- Interested candidates should possess an HND or OND with 2 – 3 years work experience.
