Key Areas of Accountability
- The Information Technology Assistant shall be accountable on the following key areas in Abuja, Kogi and Kaduna field offices of Save the Children International programin Nigeria:
App Development:
- Build and maintain model-driven and canvas applications.
- Apply Power platform skills in solving organisational problems
- Assisting in collecting and identifying functional and technical requirements
- Troubleshoot bugs and recommend ways to fix them.
- Being adept at leveraging new approaches to solutions for system design and functionality
- Addressing and remediating security vulnerability findings in Power Apps
- Work directly with clients to support various projects and solutions.
- Utilize problem-solving skills to understand client pain points and troubleshoot as challenges arise.
- Installation and configuration of data gateways where needed.
- Development of Azure logic apps and functions and Power BI development.
- Provide architecture, configuration, administration, and functional support to expand capabilities in Microsoft 365.
- Design end-to-end solutions that improve collaboration, productivity, and knowledge sharing.
- Identify areas and processes where Microsoft 365, Office 365, and SharePoint can be better leveraged and facilitate process improvement.
- Integrate various data collections tools with databases through Power Platform.
Incident Management:
- Providing first level on IT helpdesk support in assigned field offices
- Communicating any service disruptions to users, opportunities and other relevant policies
- Carry out any other tasks required by the line manager
Security and Backup:
- Keep the network and all computer systems safe, secure and virus-free.
- Report any alleged or suspected misuse of IT systems/equipment, lapses of security and major violations of organizational standards to the in-country IT representative.
- Ensure proper backup of all staff information, files and folders.
Other:
- 1st Level IT Support, Data Analysis experience using Microsoft Power BI, security experience
Working Contacts:
- Internal SCI Staff in Abuja, Kogi and Kaduna field offices, Nigeria IT team
- External IT Contractors and Service providers as managed by the in-country IT representative
Skills & Experience
Essential:
- Level of Education – Degree in IT and related IT certifications.
- Communication & Interpersonal Skill Level- Excellent

- Developing Apps using Power Platform
- Supporting the IT team
- Applying Power Apps including an in-depth understanding of customisation, configuration, integration, and extensibility, as well as boundaries and constraints
- Assisting in collecting and identifying functional requirements
- Raising the causes of bugs or potential issues of the product are skills that we hope you have and we will also help you develop
- Being adept at leveraging new approaches to solutions for system design and functionality
- Addressing and remediating security vulnerability findings in PowerApps
- Work directly with clients to support various projects and solutions.
- Responsible for developing PowerApps model and canvas driven apps
- Utilize problem-solving skills to understand client pain points and troubleshoot as challenges arise.

Prior Experience Expectations:
- Desired Number of Years Prior Experience in a Similar Role – 2
- Experience in Server and Active Directory Management and Power platform development
- Experience in a relatively insecure field-based environment
- 1+ year of experience with Office 365 development utilizing PowerApps, Flow, and Power BI, Teams and SharePoint Online.
