Job Title: Learning and Development Manager
Location: Ota, Ogun
Employment Type: Full-time
Main Purpose of Job
- To develop and evaluate training programmes targeted at improving members’ capacity to fulfill requirement and strenghtening accountability to make sales improvement
Key Responsibilities
- To develop customized sales training programs for different skill levels.
- To facilitate interactive training sessions in-person and virtually.
- Analyze sales data to measure training effectiveness and identify improvement areas.
- Collaborate with sales leadership and stakeholders to align training with business goals.
- Provide coaching and feedback to reinforce learning and skill development. Set sales goals, compare performance to goals, and adjust goals as needed. Assess current team process and procedures, identify opportunities for improvement, and implement them.
- Develop individual quotas and assigned territories for team members. Provide details and accurate sales forecasts. Coach, mentor and provide feedback to team members.
- Foster a competitive yet collaborative team environment.
- Assess individual performance through observation and measurement, and suggest corrective actions as needed.
- Create and articulate a capability roadmap for the sales organization, in-line with the organization’s strategic priorities for Nigerian cluster.
- Work with sales Head of the Department toward the creation and execution of the Sales Capability blue print towards building a future-ready sales organization. Owner of the complete sales capability building cycle.
- Identify functional sales capability competencies for the field-force across level (from RSM/ASM to Distributor sales representative) and channels (general trade, modern trade, emerging channels)
- Function training to meet business objectives.
- Partner with Director Sales for design of capability plan and training calendar plan for Modern trade and Managers
- Partnering with external parners-/vendors – For training content development, assessment and development centers.
Educational Qualification
- BSc / HND in Social Sciences or related courses
- Master’s Degree in Business Administration, Education, Law, Political Science, Public Administration, or related field required.
- At least 5 years of experience providing training, mentoring, and technical assistance. Demonstrated ability to work well with others and to develop and maintain compatibility among project staff, subcontractors, consultants, and project partners.
- Experience in training, coaching and manpower development of above level of staff in an FMCG is mandatory
Mandatory:
- Must have trained sales and marketing team before now
- Must have worked in fmcg for some time.
