JOB DETAILS:
- The ideal candidate will be responsible for the overall supervision of all transactional operations, ensuring effective treasury management and contingency planning whilst creating business model that increases the bottom line.
Key Responsibilities
- Analyzing business model, conduct risk assessment on operations and put contingencies in place.
- Act as a technical resource person for the team and provide guidance and leadership to subordinate to ensure effective execution of the department’s activities.
- Develop, review, and coordinate the unit’s activities and ensure compliance with the standard operating policies, controls, and procedures.
- Authorize prompt transaction processing and maintain bank relationships
- Work with the finance team to ensure the timely processing, accurate raising of entries and update of the banking and accounting system.
- Continuous tracking of market trends and ensuring up-to-date knowledge of market offerings to be able to provide advice on potential financial planning solutions based on client needs.
- Authorize key departmental expenditure/transactions in line with the standard operating procedure.
- Supervise the treasury operations of the group
- Identify new business opportunity and ensure revenue generation
- Providing industry trends on FX and supervise all FX settlements with acute time sensitivity.
- Driving efficiency and mitigating operational risks to the barest minimum.
- Overseeing and handling of a financial institution’s cash flow.
- Communicate the goals of the unit to members and ensure alignment of the unit’s activities with the business objectives.
- Managing corporate relationship with clients, brokers, and banks
- Develop process improvement initiatives to achieve operational excellence
Qualifications
Experience & Education:
- Advanced Degree in Finance, Business Administration or its equivalent
- 8 – 12 years of experience in treasury management, operations and/or financial management.
- The ideal candidate must have worked in a financial institution, preferably microfinance, asset management, investment, and FX company.
- Strong time management and coaching skills
- Knowledge of general business software and aptitude to learn new applications; proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
Skills & Competencies:
- Sound knowledge in finance operations, FX operations and microlending
- Awareness of all the federal policies and guidelines in relation to banking and FX operations.
- Effective treasury management.
- Highly Analytical with a problem-solving mindset
- Knowledge of cryptocurrency will be an added advantage.
- Exceptional Leadership skills

- Knowledge of treasury management in microfinance, BDC or banking sector.
