Job Title: Pattern Maker

Job Summary
- As a Pattern Maker, your responsibilities will be determining the client’s needs and coming up with appropriate design solutions.
- You are also responsible for developing patterns for mass production.
- Incorporating modern and traditional patterns into the design is a mandatory requirement for this position.

- Meeting the clients to determine their design requirements.
- Drawing rough designs and patterns to the manufacturing unit.
- Developing innovative patterns for various garments.
- Designing patterns for various items such as garments, shoes, purses, etc.
- Cutting the fabrics and garments & suggesting improvements in the existing designs.
- Creating design incorporating old design as needed.
- Examine sketches and sample patterns.
- Determining pattern quantities, shapes, and sizes.
- Providing sewing instructions to the Tailor.
- Minimizing material wastes.
- Sketching the final design to indicate the position of accessories.
- Taking approval from the client before manufacturing.
- Staying updated with the latest technologies and trends in pattern marking
Requirements
- Candidates should possess an HND / B.Sc Degree with at least 4 years relevant work experience.
- Proven working experience as a Pattern Maker or a similar role in a Fashion/Tailoring Institute.
- Ability to use pattern making equipment and machinery.
- Strong understanding of modern and traditional artworks.
- Ability to meet deadlines & having a keen eye for detail for accuracy.
- Excellent listening skills & communication skills
- Ability to take feedback in a professional manner.
- Outstanding time management skills with strong work ethic.
- Excellent organizational and interpersonal skills.
- Illustrate the ability to read and understand the blueprints.
- Ability to work for long hours.
- Highly creative and hardworking individual.
- A problem solver with a detailed oriented approach.
