Job Title: Procurement Officer (General Consumables)
Location: Illupeju, Lagos

Job Summary
- Assist in identifying and evaluating potential suppliers based on quality, cost, delivery time, and reliability
- Assist in maintaining relationships with suppliers to ensure timely delivery of goods and services
- Assist in negotiating contracts with suppliers to obtain the best possible prices, terms, and conditions
- Help monitor inventory levels to ensure that the company has sufficient stock of general consumables
- Assist in developing and implementing procurement policies and procedures to ensure compliance with regulations and industry standards
- Coordinate with other departments to ensure that the procurement process is integrated into the overall operations of the company
- Participate in cross-functional teams to support sourcing, supplier management, and cost-reduction initiatives
- Help manage the procurement budget to ensure that expenditures are within budgetary limits
- Maintain accurate procurement records and prepare reports as needed
- Maintain price tracker for all purchases items wise
- Reduce cost for the purchases of all items of all category of products handled
- Strengthen vendor database for products put in charge by registering reliable, competitive, corporate sources mainly
- Authorized distributor, dealers, manufacturers, importers, and avoid middle men’s business
- purchases on credit and get extra credit terms from vendors
- Ensure quotes and costing comparison sheet are obtained within 48 hours from receiving the request from the requester
- Generate LPO within 72 hours from the date of receiving the request from the requester after getting approval on the costing comparison sheet
- manage efficiently the stock of inventory items for all product categories procured
- Maintain the minimum, maximum stock level and the re order level for inventory items for all items procured
- Provide update to the requester frequently as at when requested
- Provide weekly reports to HOD such us, task tracker report, price trend report, other reports as requested
- meet up with additional responsibilities that will be assigned by the HOD
- ensure that deliveries all materials supplied take place with in maximum of one week for non-emergency orders and 2 days max for emergency orders
Minimum Qualification
- B.Sc in Supply chain or any related field
- 1 – 2 years relevant Experience.
