Location: Abuja, Nigeria
Position Type: Full time
Company / Division: JSI R & T/International
Project Background
- The DISC data request is to build off the ad-hoc DMPA-SC/SI data which AC collects in three states of Nigeria. The project is funded by the Children Investment Fund Foundation (CIFF) and involves facility-specific data collection and transition to the DISC team to inform programming.

Context
Advertisements
- Nigeria commenced the full scale up of DMPA-SC introduction since 2018. The rapidly evolving need for data to drive the introduction process, led the government to implement strategic interventions. Working with the FMOH to strategically mobilize partners, The Access Collaborative project, led by PATH and JSI, supports routine requests from partners to monitor and share their training goals vs actuals per cadre, sector and geography. This helps hold partners accountable and helps reduce risk of duplication by several partners.
- The national data collection and reporting tools have been updated to include SI indicators. Stakeholders agreed to collect information on SI by tracking the number of products dispensed to women who self-inject. The revision to the DHIS 2 platform has been completed, but the capacity of FP providers and data officers isn’t optimal in the use of the tools. The CIFF data request project is bridging this gap by supporting the states through sustainable interventions including: capacity building, data collection and quality assurance.
- The program and data management consultant will be a highly motivated individual and will work with the John Snow Inc team to provide support to the CIFF data request in Nigeria. He/she will work in close collaboration with and provide technical support to the Country Coordinator and team in Nigeria.

- Routinely manage and update partner mapping of DMPA-SC related investments
- Update Access Collaborative weekly and monthly reporting systems

- Support and coordinate planning for activities and programs
