- The Program and Events Lead will be responsible for designing programs and event that attract, promote and facilitate investments to key sectors such as agribusiness, maritime and trade.
- She/he will provide expertise and interact effectively with senior levels of partner organizations and ecosystem stakeholders to advance the development and delivery of the Welcome2Africa strategy.
Job Responsibilities
- Design, implement and manage profitable Welcome2Africa International Programs, identify opportunities for new initiatives or program expansion towards achieving the organization goals and objectives.
- Coordinate and manage clients’ relationships (KPI alignment, key deliverables. Validation, feedbacks etc.)
- Project administration (program finalization, organizing, budgeting, reporting etc)
- Coordinating and training the various team members that are to deliver on the programs.
- Develop work plan weekly and follow up with the completion
- Communicate with all stakeholders of all outlined programs (internal, external, partners, sponsors etc.)
- Track, monitor, and evaluate all program metrics and achieve milestone completion.
- Ensure that all programs are on track in line with the budget and timeline perspectives.
- Identify areas of improvement of all programs and share best practices.
- Work hand in hand with the CEO to develop plans for Welcome2AfricaInternational.
- Facilitate partnership with government agencies, donor organizations, private firms, international organizations and other service providers interested in trade and investment in Africa.
- Develop stakeholder mapping for each program
- Adequately maintain and update stakeholders and partners database
- Make phone calls and send out emails to follow up with partners/stakeholders.
- Implementing and monitoring Standard Operating Procedure for all program activities.
- Participate in developing and nurturing collaborations with external partners including donors and individual supporters, policy makers, media and other stakeholders.
- Ensure that all staff and volunteers adhere to the project implementation principles.
- Any other tasks as maybe assigned by my supervisors.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience in Finance, Business, Agricultural Economics and/or Financial Inclusion.
- Minimum of four (4) years of relevant experience in event management, agribusiness, agri-finance and agriculture value chains is required with special focus in Nigeria.
- Excellent project management skills managing multiple projects at once
- Shows innovation and creativity through problem-solving and decision making
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to present information in a clear and compelling way
- Strong curiosity & self-drive, able to prioritize, work independently and manage own time, with limited supervision.
