Job Summary
- Our Client seeks the services of a Protocol Officer, the PO would be responsible for the planning and execution of protocol activities and events for the company, its Board of Directors, and other VIP guests.
- The Protocol Officer will work closely with the CEO, C-suite executives, and the Board of Directors to ensure that all protocol activities are carried out in a smooth, efficient, and professional manner.
- He or she will be responsible for developing and maintaining relationships with key stakeholders, both internally and externally.
- The Protocol Officer must be able to think quickly on his or her feet and be able to handle last-minute changes with grace and poise.

- Serve as the primary point of contact for all protocol-related inquiries, including but not limited to questions on precedence, dress, gifts, and invitations
- Develop and maintain strong working relationships with key internal and external stakeholders to ensure the successful execution of protocol activities
- Plan and coordinate high-level events hosted by the organization, including but not limited to state visits, summits, conferences, and gala dinners
- Oversee the development and implementation of event-specific protocols, in close coordination with relevant teams
- Liaise with security personnel to develop and implement security plans for protocol-related events
- Manage VIP travel arrangements and accommodation bookings in accordance with organizational policy and budget
- Prepare detailed itineraries for visiting dignitaries, ensuring that all logistical needs are taken care of in a timely and efficient manner
- Serve as on-site coordinator for protocol-related events, managing last-minute changes and unforeseen challenges as they arise
- Write post-event reports documenting successes, lessons learned, and areas for improvement
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of international diplomatic protocol standards and best practices
- Stay abreast of current affairs and developments relevant to the organization’s work
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in International Relations, Political Science, or a related field
- 3 – 5 years of professional experience in the protocol or a related area
- Professional certification in the protocol (e.g., Certified Protocol Officer from the Association of Protocol Officers International)
- Experience living or working abroad
- In-depth knowledge of protocol procedures and etiquette
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English; proficiency in a second language preferred
- Strong research, analytical, and organizational skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Flexibility and adaptability to changing situations.
