- The engineer will be responsible for working on the deployment stack that is built on Terraform with Kubernetes, Docker and various data stores. Job Responsibilities
- Architect, design and implement the API and scalable backend layer
- Work on the deployment stack that is built on Terraform with Kubernetes, Docker and various data stores
- Build large scale APIs and systems that can work seamlessly in any environment
- Research and engineer new ways to monitor systems and applications for performance and availability
- Review application performance and deploy necessary enhancements
Job Requirements
- BSc / MSc Degree in Computer Science and/or Electrical Engineering (or equivalent experience)
- 3 – 5 years of experience in software development
- Solid understanding of API design with the ability to implement clean, intuitive APIs for the product
- Deep understanding of SQL databases like Postgres, MySQL, and data schema design
- Knowledge of API specification languages like Swagger and JSON Schema
- Great Python skills and knowledge of MVC frameworks like Django
- Knowledge of data formats like JSON, ProtocolBuffers and APIs that are RESTful, gRPC
- The ability to leverage Cloud services effectively with a sound knowledge of AWS, Azure and GCP
- Knowledge of Kubernetes and Terraform/CloudFormation
- Ability to prototype quickly with basic understanding of UI/UX principles
- Ability to prioritize and thrive in a fast-paced, fluid environment
- Enthusiasm to learn new concepts
- Capability to work in a self-driven manner with an ambiguous or unclear definition
