Job Title: Restaurant Manager
Location: Lagos
Employment Type: Full-time
Tasks and Responsibilities
- Contribute to the formulation and implementation of the strategy for the restaurant.
- Achieve the overall set targets for the restaurant by planning and working according to budgets, maximizing profits and achieving sales targets.
- Promoting and marketing the restaurant. Assists in developing, planning, and executing restaurant marketing, advertising, and promotional activities and campaigns.
- Ensures adherence to company cash handling/security procedures and payment processing procedures.
- Plans menus by consulting with chefs; estimates food costs and profits; adjusts menus.
- Ensures that all food and products are consistently prepared and served according to the restaurant’s recipes, portioning, cooking, and serving standards.
- Enforces sanitary practices for food handling, general cleanliness, and maintenance of kitchen and dining areas.
- Ensures positive customer service in all areas by handling customer concerns and taking appropriate actions to turn dissatisfied guests into return guests.
- Maintains appropriate inventory levels of food, beverage and other supplies.
- People management: maintains adequate staffing levels, training and developing existing staff, motivating and encouraging staff to achieve targets and coordinating staff scheduling.
- Ensures compliance with operational standards, company policies, federal/state/local laws, and regulations.
- Maintains administration and relevant reporting and planning systems.
- Any other tasks as assigned from time to time.
Job Specification
- Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent with at least a relevant certification.
- 5 – 7 years of relevant and progressive experience.
- Great Business Communication (including written and verbal) skills.
- Must be organized and punctual.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office.
- Presentation skills.
- Well-presented and thoroughly professional.
- Prior experience in warehouse/store management would be advantageous.
- Deep product knowledge.
- Strong physical fitness and the ability to be on feet and concentrate for long periods of time.
- The ability to read and understand labels, SKUs, pick tickets, etc. to fulfill orders quickly and efficiently.
