Job Description
- Emerson Measurement Solutions Business Unit vision is to become #1 solution provider to our customers in MEA region for all their Flow metering & Analytical systems & solution.
- Primary purpose of the job is to prospect and identify MSS (Measurement Systems & Service) Opportunities and work with other relevant stakeholders to win & grow MSS booking to support MSol business objectives.
- The selected candidate will be located in Emerson Automation Solutions office in Nigeria and be responsible for all the sales activities related to MSS in West Africa
Your Role Responsibilities
- Take overall responsibility of MSS systems, Sales and Business Development activities in assigned markets/ accounts to achieve and exceed Sales target to support overall MSol growth plan
- Take ownership of customer relationship management and the be the primary contact with for customers, through the life cycle of the project, including but not limited to
- Map customer organization and develop relationship at all levels and identify and develop sponsor/ coaches.
- Support customer from conceptual stage to post-delivery customer support to get “Trusted partner”/ “Vendor of Choice” status.
- Take lead on sales and Business Development activities including,
- Making customer aware of MSol/ MSS offering and capabilities
- Creating demand for MSS Systems based on Custody Flow & Analytica Measurement Best practice solution.
- Identifying, screening and selecting opportunities for pursuit, in line with Sales and Proposal Process
- Complying to the “Trade Compliance” policies and completing Due Diligence formalities
- Proactively communicate with Regional Director/ Country Manager/ Regional MSol Sales Leader/ LBP in terms of Selection criteria and bid-no bid decisions/ forecasting/ Bidding & Negotiation strategies.
- Preparing pursuit plan in collaboration with relevant stakeholders such as Solution Architect, Proposal lead, Regional MSol Sales leader and sales team and the X-BU Project Pursuit & Key Account Management team
- Prepare quotation in complete compliance to the Sales & Proposal process in terms of CRM Entry & update/ Task Assignment/ Final Price approval in timely manner. Activities shall include but not limited to
- Timely Kick of Meeting with Solution Architect and Proposal team members to agree on bidding strategy.
- Carrying out Marker Price analysis
- Reviewing the quote including BoM & Compliance Sheet &/or Deviation sheet in conjunction with the critical RFQ document requirement and agreed bidding strategy and subsequent communications.
- Proactively engaging with relevant stakeholder to review the commercial terms, T&C to mitigate the commercial risks and get required approvals as per proposal process.
- Negotiate the contract.
- Post order, be the interface between Customer and Project Execution Team for smooth execution of the project.
- Post delivery, take ownership to establish LTSA/ Service contract for smooth transition from supply to life cycle support stage.
- Conduct monthly Funnel review call with relevant Regional GM & MSol Sales Leader/ Sales Person/ Regional/ Country leader to
- Communicate current status of the projects.
- Update of new projects added to the funnel.
- Ensure alignment between MSS Funnel & Regional POR
- Have deep dive discussion on select large/ must win opportunities.
- Review periodically, MSS Funnel and present pursuit plan of strategic/ large projects with MSS/ MSol/ Regional Sales Management
- Collaborate with MSol & Regional Sales, Project Pursuit (GP3) & Key Accounts & other BU teams to
- Bring out the synergy.
- Maximize Emerson pull through.
- Engage with X-WA MSS and Project Pursuit team to engage in destination project pursuit and provide necessary support to.
- Engage with End User to get their support for Emerson.
- Provide local competitive landscape to develop sales/ bidding strategy.
- Prepare and present to Management, project trends, competitive intelligence & analysis, Market pricing level information in respective market/ industry.
- Keep up to date with developments in products, industries and market trends.
- Ensure Emerson Ethics and trade compliance requirements of Emerson
- Fulfil any other reasonable duties as required functionally and regionally, to support strategic plan and goals of the organization
What do I need to be considered for this role?
- Interested Candidates shall have minimum of Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering and 15 years of work experience in the field of Control & Instrumentation
- MBA
- Experience in the engineering or sales of Flow meters/ flow meter solutions/ Analytical Solutions in O&G/ Refinery/ Petrochem industries.
