Job Summary
- As an Earth Work Supervisor, you will be responsible for overseeing and coordinating earthwork activities related to construction and maintenance projects.
- The ideal candidate will have a strong background in earthwork operations, project management, and a commitment to ensuring projects are completed safely, efficiently, and in accordance with company standards.
Key Responsibilities
Project Planning and Coordination:

- Collaborate with project managers to develop earthwork plans and schedules.
- Coordinate with other departments to ensure seamless integration of earthwork activities into overall project timelines.
Site Preparation:
- Supervise the preparation of construction sites, including excavation, grading, and leveling.
- Ensure compliance with project specifications and design requirements.
Equipment Management:
- Oversee the utilization and maintenance of earthmoving equipment.
- Coordinate equipment inspections and repairs to minimize downtime.
Team Leadership:
- Lead and motivate a team of earthwork operators and laborers.
- Provide guidance and training to ensure safe and efficient work practices.
Quality Control:
- Implement quality control measures to ensure earthwork meets established standards.
- Conduct inspections to identify and address issues promptly.
Safety Compliance:
- Enforce and promote a culture of safety on construction sites.
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations and company policies.
Material Management:
- Monitor the use of materials, ensuring appropriate quantities are available.
- Coordinate material deliveries and storage.
Communication:
- Communicate regularly with project managers, engineers, and other stakeholders.
- Provide progress updates and report any issues or delays.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).
- Proven experience in earthwork supervision within the construction industry.
- Knowledge of earthmoving equipment and construction techniques.
- Strong leadership and team management skills.
- Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
- Familiarity with safety regulations and protocols.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
