JOB TITLE: Senior Facility Manager
JOB LOCATION: Victoria Island, Lagos

JOB DETAILS:
- We are looking for an experienced Facilities Manager to oversee all building-related activities. You will be responsible for preserving the good condition of infrastructure and ensure that facilities are safe and well-functioning.
- The ideal candidate will be well-organized andable to optimize the use of space and equipment while reducing operating costs. Leadership abilities and phenomenal efficiency can set you apart among our candidate pool.

Job Description
- Plan and coordinate all installations (telecommunications, heat, electricity etc.) and refurbishments
- Manage the upkeep of equipment and supplies to meethealth and safety standards
- Inspectbuildings’ structures to determine the need for repairs or renovations
- Review utilities consumption and strive tominimize costs
- Supervise all staff facilities staff (custodians, technicians, groundskeepers etc.) andexternal contractors
- Control activities like parking space allocation, waste disposal, buildingsecurity etc.
- Allocate office space according to needs
- Ensure that the facility is fully operational with all utilities functioning properly
- Schedule and supervise maintenance repair work and assist with checking installation and servicing building equipment
- Maintain stock levels and parts within budget
- Ensure compliance with state and federal regulations, and assist with energy management
- prepare documents to put out tenders for contractors
- project manage, supervise and coordinate the work of contractors
- investigate the availability and suitability of options for new premises
- calculate and compare costs for required goods or services to achieve maximum value for money
- plan for future development in line with strategic business objectives
- manage and lead change to ensure minimum disruption to core activities
- Oversee security of buildings and grounds
- Handle insurance plans and service contracts
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Engineering, or equivalent professional level experience
- 10-15 years of experience in facilities maintenance or equivalent related functions
- Knowledge of OSHA and other environmental regulations
- Knowledge of general maintenance methods, operating requirements, and safety precautions related to facilities management
- Must be a well organized, detail and customer (internal and external) oriented self-starter
- Strong procurement and negotiation skills
