We are recruiting to fill the position below:
Job Title: Sales Manager
Location: Lagos Island, Lagos
Employment Type: Full-time
Responsibilities
- Overseeing regional sales, promotions, and campaigns
- Planning and directing the training of new Sales Representatives
- Directing and coordinating all sales activities
- Preparing sales budgets and projections
- Tracking and analyzing sales statistics based on key quantitative metrics
- Handling and resolving customer complaints
- Setting discount rates and determining price schedules
- Advising distributors and dealers on policies and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs)
- Making data-informed decisions to drive performance and resource allocation
- Developing and maintaining relationships with key clients
- Setting sales quotas and goals
- Overseeing and directing the performance of the sales team
- Identifying emerging markets to find new sales opportunities
Requirements
- Proven experience as a sales manager (in a food production company)
- BA./BSc in any discipline
- At least 3 years experience in a similar role
- Leadership ability
- Open to traveling outside Lagos when necessary
- Computer literacy
- Excellent selling, negotiation and communication skills
- Good oral and written communication skills
- Good team player
- Good interpersonal and people management skills and negotiating skills
- Strong sense of professionalism, integrity, sound judgment
- Ability to maintain confidentiality
- Collaborate with the stores account officer/contact person to raise new orders and follow up with payments
- Monitor Sales Activities of all products during visitation to a stores
